What to Expect

Don’t worry – you won’t be on Zoom all day. (I can’t stand being on zoom all day either)

I’ll invite each person to set up a simple winter altar with a candle and to be in a space where you will be undisturbed for this time. Bonus if you can step outside easily for some contemplative time with the winter air, sky, and land.

We will begin on Zoom together, and I will offer some framing for the day. From there, I’ll share prompts to stimulate thoughts and reflection which you can explore off-screen at your own pace. We will weave between solo visioning time and group connection.

You will be guided through a gentle arc of the day:

  • Inner inquiry – journaling prompts, reflective questions, and intention setting

  • Creative expression – simple art-therapy-like invitations (no art experience needed)

  • Embodied presence – breath, gentle movement, or stillness to anchor in your body

  • Time outside – contemplative walks or sits in nature, wherever you are

When we gather back together, we will share insights (as much or as little as you wish), witness one another, and create a sense of warmth and community in this tender season.

What This Day Can Support You With

This retreat is designed to help you:

  • Clarify what you’re ready to release from this past year

  • Name the gifts and lessons you’re carrying forward

  • Listen for the seeds and dreams quietly forming in the dark

  • Reconnect with your own inner guidance and intuition

  • Remember that you are not alone – you are part of a circle honoring this season together

This is an opportunity to slow down, reconnect with your inner world, and honor the winter medicine of stillness, mystery, and renewal.

“To go in the dark with a light is to know the light.
To know the dark, go dark.
Go without sight,
and find that the dark, too,
blooms and sings,
and is traveled by dark feet and dark wings.”

~Wendell Berry
